I love Meijer! They sell just about everything and even house a convenient barbershop IN store. I was drawn to this store 6 yrs ago as I searched for a store who carried milk that comes from cows not treated with the hormone rBSt. Some of the isles are mislabeled as you can see in the pics but it's nothing major. There's a sweet girl named Rachel who's a cashier. She ALWAYS greets you with a genuine smile and you leave feeling like you've made a new friend. I love this store! Oh, and this no antibiotics chicken is THE BEST chicken I've ever had from a grocery store. The tenderloins are TRULY juicy!
Merrillville store has great staff and produce in stock. Highland store has half wits working in produce section of store. They fail miserably for having produce stocked and if you can find someone to check for it in the back of store for items you need, they are gone forever, 80-90% of time the answer is No, we are out of stock. Congrats on such a fine, efficient, intelligently-staffed store, Highland!!!
This store is always wonderful! Great products, services, selection, ideas. The folks that work there are the best and always go out of their way to be of service. Always have great prices, sales, coupons. I LOVE shopping at Meijer!
I come here weekly. There are many popular items that are not stocked on a regular basis. I have brought this to the managers and corporate attention but they still don't keep up with demand. The current management is rarely seen. The store is cleaned less often. I have to go to Jewel to get fresh bread. If I ask for fresh made the first thing they do is strut out to see if there is any left on the rack. If I wanted spongy bread I wouldn't be asking for fresh baked!
No cashiers. Holiday rush and 2 people standing around ignoring the "HELP" lights on the self service lanes. After enough angry people huff and puff an actual lane with a human being is opened but the lane light is broken so no one knows that the lane is even open. After complaining, I was told that I should have just asked. Great advice! I'll be sure to step out of line to assess how all of the lights are functioning. Target is up the street, they have customer service figured out, drive the extra block for your sanity.
