We went to Theo's for the first time last night for our anniversary. First when we were seated we were not asked our preference of table or booth and since the restaurant was empty we felt that should have been standard practice. We were seated in a small booth. But the main reason for my review was my New York strip steak, beside being tough it was so salty it was inedible. I am not in the habit of sending food back and then eating the restaurants second try. Not wanting to seem like I was trying to get a free meal I informed our waitress and said I would pay for the soup and salad I had eaten. No one seemed at all concerned at my dissatisfaction. When the bill came they charged me for the soup and salad, needless to say I would not go to a steak house for just soup and salad. I will not be spending my time or money at Theo's again.
We recently hosted my sister's baby shower in their private dining room. Our server, Sharon, was absolutely amazing and did a great job making sure everything went off without a hitch. The communication leading up to our event was good and the team was patient answering all our questions. You can tell the space has been remodeled and is the perfect mix of modern with rustic touches like the wood accents. I would highly recommend to anyone hosting a party!
After almost eating the entire meal we realized that there was hair in the food. Upon notifying the manager, who indicated he was the owners son, he stated, with a very nasty attitude..."It's not that big of a deal, it happens". Not that we were looking for a free meal, but clearly there should have been full compensation as well as a more apologetic attitude. We felt unwelcome and the curtness indicated that they could care less if we returned. I will never ever return. I've visited the high-end steak restaurants as well as the lower end and have never experienced anything like this. I will say the waitress was extremely nice, the manager...on the other hand, could use some training on how to handle difficult situations.
Yesterday I came in with my husband and son, and my server Joe was very attentive and pleasant and charismatic. The meal was delicious. Excellent experience I will be back again.
Will go back and definitely recommend Theo's to others.
We celebrated my sisters birthday there recently. The dining atmosphere is elegant and cozy. We had a wonderful waitress named Jonnika, who was friendly and very helpful. It is the perfect dining experience for special occasions and date nights and the food was excellent. My sister and fiance are talking about their steaks days later. They said it was the first time they had a well done steak what was so tender and juicy.
